GLBI Wiki is meant to be a tool to educate on the Canadian Basic Income concept.
It is not intended to be used for other Countries or comparing to existing programs like EI.

In 2018, the Parliamentary Budget Officer released a National Costing Report on Basic Income and what the rates and distributional costs would look like. This report, showed the following rates as a national estimated average. It did not take into account regional cost of living or credits.

Single Individual - 17-64 - Employable $16,989 per year

Household - 17-64 - Employable $24,027 per year

Single Individual with Disability - 17-74 - Limited Employment or Unemployable $22,989 per year ( $6,000 is Not-Income Tested )

Household one Individual with Disability - 17-64 - Limited Employment or Unemployable $30,027 per year ( $6,000 is Not-Income Tested )
